Social responsibility

2020 was one of the difficult, ambiguous and responsible periods for the “National Maritime Shipping Company “Kazmortransflot” LLP.

Company's primary goal during the 2020 pandemic and quarantine was to maintain the effectiveness of KMTF's work and personnel management by ensuring and respecting all social guarantees and interests of the company's employees.

Thus, in order to create favorable conditions for the employee, as well as to establish social and labor relations, the KMTF provided various types of material assistance, annual health insurance for employees and their families, employees' children were provided with New Year gifts.

To improve the socio-psychological climate in the KMTF team, the KMTF General Director held online meetings with the KMTF staff. On a quarterly basis, the heads of functional blocks/business areas of KMTF held meetings with employees of supervised KMTF departments for a closer discussion of work processes and timely elimination of emerging problems.

In order to provide financial incentives to employees in accordance with the KMTF Management, Administrative and Production Personnel Remuneration Rules, all employees received quarterly and holiday bonuses on time.

Social stability is ensured by the approved internal documents and recommendations of the Sole Participant.

Thus, in 2020, all planned indicators, including social indicators, were achieved.

No redundancies, timely payment of employees' salaries, bonuses, material aid for vacations, including contractors (services for hiring maritime crew members).

Ensured a timely response during the State of Emergency on the non-proliferation of coronavirus infection.

Thus, the KMTF, as early as February 28, 2020, was instructed by means of a Circular to prohibit coming ashore and restrict contact in the seaports of stay, in accordance with the Integrated Ship Safety System.

KMTF ensured the safe changing of vessel crews, including at the Prorva port point of the Tengiz field, with each vessel crew member interviewed and contacted by crew family members.

During the pandemic and quarantine restrictions, social tensions, including among ship crew members, were not tolerated.

Not a single case of coronavirus infection was reported on KMTF vessels.

The work of KMTF vessels proceeds as usual.

KMTF, in its activities, has a patriotic civic position and desire to help change the lives of its fellow citizens for the better, always strictly adheres to the principles of social responsibility of business. The company makes a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the Mangystau region, and participates in socially important events in the region.
