Our path to security
Starting a new working year, each employee of KazMunaiGas needs to evaluate his personal contribution to improving work safety and health, which helps to prevent accidents and accidents at workplaces in order to achieve a higher level of safety and reliability.
Aiming at improving the safety and health of KazMunaiGaz employees and contractors, as well as the well-being of local communities is the foundation of KazMunaiGaz’s long-term success in business.
We strive to promote a culture of safety and health, involving all employees of KazMunaiGaz, who share our core values, as well as our commitment to integrity and excellence. We need your personal interest and support in achieving this goal.
The culture of safety and health always begins with leadership. Leaders broadcast a model of behavior to other workers, which in turn creates a culture. Leaders also influence culture by setting expectations, creating a structure, teaching others and imparting personal responsibility for the result. And such a safety culture should become an integral part of every level of management in KazMunaiGaz. It must be constantly strengthened and improved, and safety and health issues must be higher than other priorities.
Our main goal is to create such conditions that the employees of KazMunaiGaz and contract organizations return home unharmed every day. We will always work to achieve our goal – WORK WITHOUT HARM.
The concept of a culture of safe behavior includes, in addition to compliance with the employee’s regulatory requirements – the recognition of their own responsibility for the safe performance of work.
Our task at the current stage is not just to ensure compliance with formal safety procedures, but also to inspire every employee of KazMunaiGaz to improve them.
That is why leadership in issues of safety and labor protection should come not only from senior and middle managers, but also from the employees of KazMunaiGas and contractors themselves, with the possibility of using all available means of communication.
The development of a culture of safety and labor protection is an endlessly long process aimed at constant improvement. Excessive self-confidence and self-confidence in matters of security are unacceptable. Continuous improvement of safety and labor protection processes instills discipline and sharpens the attention of employees, which makes it possible to do everything possible to achieve this goal.
Of course, no oil and gas company in the world, including KazMunaiGas, can state that it has achieved complete success in this area.
