For the first time, the Kazakhstan men’s boxing championship starts in the Mangystau region. The championship will be held as part of the 55th anniversary of Aktau. 206 athletes from 14 regions of the country and three cities of republican significance are expected to participate in the competition.

All boxers of the national team of Kazakhstan, who represent the country on the world stage, will take part in the championship of Kazakhstan. In particular, these are Kairat Eraliev, Vasily Levit, Әbilkhan Amankul, Aslanbek Shymbergenov, Bekdaulet Ibragimov, Abylaykhan Zhusipov, Temirtas Zhүsipov, Ilyas Suleimenov, Erik Alzhanov, the Toltayev brothers and others.
Competitions will be held in the sports complex “Mangystau Arena”, will last until November 18. At the end of the championship winners will receive a ticket to participate in the Championships of Asia and the World in 2019. Participation in the World Cup is a chance to get a license to participate in the Olympic Games, which will be held in 2020 in Tokyo.
To increase the objectivity of refereeing as experts, the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation invited foreign judges to the championship, who will evaluate the work of their Kazakh colleagues.
