Kazmortransflot and Kazakhstan Maritime Academy of KBTU announce the launch of the seafarer educational programme for 2026
The program qualified seafarers for the Kazakh merchant fleet was launched in 2025, and the first group of students is currently studying at the Kazakhstan Maritime Academy of KBTU. The four-year educational programme is designed to train specialists in navigation and engineering in accordance with international requirements and standards and conducted in English.
Program participants are provided with:
– an educational grant fully covering tuition fees;
– a monthly scholarship;
– accommodation in a comfortable dormitory in Almaty for non-resident students;
– the opportunity to begin a professional maritime career within the national fleet of KMTF upon successful graduation.
The application period for the 2026 intake is open until 17 May 2026.
